1. Introduction

Welcome to Emotional Maths® Compassion Compass (“the App,”), owned and operated by Grand Strategy Consulting LLC (“Grand Strategy,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

The App is an AI-enabled reflection and communication support tool designed to help adults think more clearly, compassionately, and responsibly about emotionally charged situations. It may help users reflect on conflict, prepare for conversations, consider communication options, and explore emotionally intelligent responses.

By accessing or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service and Responsible Use Policy (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the App.

2. Age Requirement: Adults Only

The App is only available to users who are 18 years of age or older.

By creating an account, accessing the App, or using the App, you confirm that:

  • you are at least 18 years old;
  • you have legal capacity to enter into these Terms;
  • you will not allow a minor to use your account;
  • you will not use the App to collect information from or about minors in a way that violates applicable law.

The App is not directed to children or teenagers. We do not knowingly permit anyone under 18 to use the App.

If we learn that a person under 18 has used the App or created an account, we may suspend or delete the account and associated information. COPPA imposes requirements on online services directed to children under 13 or services with actual knowledge that they collect personal information from children under 13; our App is expressly restricted to adults 18+.

3. What the App Is

The App is a digital reflection, communication, and emotional intelligence support tool.

The App may help you:

  • reflect on emotionally difficult situations;
  • identify possible emotions, needs, assumptions, and communication risks;
  • prepare for conversations at work, at home, or in personal relationships;
  • draft possible language for messages, emails, meetings, or difficult conversations;
  • consider more compassionate, boundaried, and constructive responses;
  • explore alternatives before reacting impulsively;
  • apply the Emotional Maths® approach to communication and decision-making.

The App is intended to support human reflection. It does not replace human judgment.

4. What the App Is Not

The App is not:

  • a therapist;
  • a crisis service;
  • a medical device;
  • a mental health diagnosis tool;
  • a substitute for therapy, counseling, psychiatry, coaching, mediation, legal advice, HR advice, medical care, or emergency support;
  • a licensed professional service;
  • a human being;
  • a source of final truth about any person, relationship, workplace, family, or situation.

The App may use emotionally intelligent, compassionate, or reflective language. That does not mean the App is providing therapy, clinical care, diagnosis, or professional advice.

5. Human Responsibility and Human-in-the-Lead Use

The App may generate reflections, interpretations, scripts, questions, or suggested next steps. These outputs are not decisions. They are not instructions. They are not professional determinations.

You agree that:

  • you remain responsible for how you interpret and use App outputs;
  • you will not treat AI-generated content as final truth;
  • you will not rely on the App as your sole source of advice for important decisions;
  • you will consider context, culture, power dynamics, safety, professional obligations, and applicable law before acting;
  • you will seek qualified human support when the situation requires it.

The App is designed to support clearer thinking, not to replace conscience, discernment, professional judgment, or relational accountability.

6. Crisis, Emergency, and Safety Limitation

The App is not designed for crisis intervention.

Do not use the App as your only source of help if you or someone else may be:

  • thinking about suicide or self-harm;
  • at risk of harming another person;
  • experiencing domestic violence, coercive control, stalking, abuse, neglect, or exploitation;
  • in immediate physical danger;
  • experiencing a medical, psychiatric, or mental health emergency;
  • unable to stay safe.

If you are in the United States and are in emotional crisis or thinking about suicide, call or text 988. If you are in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.

The App may redirect users to crisis or emergency resources, but it does not monitor users in real time and cannot guarantee detection of crisis, abuse, coercion, self-harm, or danger.

7. No Medical, Mental Health, Legal, HR, or Financial Advice

The App may help you reflect on communication and emotional dynamics. It does not provide professional advice.

You agree not to use the App to:

  • diagnose yourself or another person;
  • determine whether someone has a mental health condition, personality disorder, trauma condition, disability, or clinical diagnosis;
  • make medical, psychiatric, therapeutic, or medication decisions;
  • make legal decisions;
  • make employment, disciplinary, workplace investigation, or HR compliance decisions;
  • make financial, tax, insurance, or investment decisions;
  • determine another person’s motives, character, mental state, or legal liability.

For professional matters, consult an appropriately qualified professional.

8. AI Output Limitations

The App uses artificial intelligence and automated systems. AI-generated outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, inappropriate, outdated, inconsistent, or unsuitable for your situation.

The App may:

  • misunderstand context;
  • misread emotional dynamics;
  • overstate certainty;
  • miss cultural, racial, gender, disability, neurodiversity, trauma, class, faith, workplace, family, or power dynamics;
  • produce plausible but incorrect information;
  • fail to detect risk, coercion, abuse, or crisis;
  • suggest language that may not be safe, wise, lawful, or appropriate in your specific situation.

You are responsible for reviewing, editing, adapting, or rejecting any output before using it.

We do not guarantee that any App output will be accurate, safe, emotionally appropriate, legally compliant, professionally suitable, or effective.

9. No Anthropomorphism or Emotional Substitution

The App is software. It is not human.

The App does not feel, care, understand, empathize, love, worry, form relationships, hold moral responsibility, or know you in the way a person can.

Any warmth, compassion, affirmation, concern, or conversational tone is generated by software. You should not interpret it as human feeling, professional care, personal relationship, or moral judgment.

You agree not to use the App as:

  • your primary emotional support system;
  • a substitute friend, partner, therapist, coach, mediator, or spiritual adviser;
  • your only decision-making companion;
  • a replacement for trusted human relationships or qualified professional help.

10. Emotional Dependency and Overuse

The App is designed to support reflection, not dependency.

We may implement usage limits, safety notices, wellbeing prompts, escalation language, account restrictions, or temporary access limits if we believe use patterns may create safety, dependency, ethical, operational, or legal concerns.

We may encourage users to contact trusted people, qualified professionals, emergency services, or other appropriate resources.

11. Acceptable Use

You may use the App for lawful, responsible, adult reflection and communication preparation.

You agree not to use the App to:

  • harass, threaten, intimidate, stalk, shame, humiliate, manipulate, or abuse another person;
  • generate coercive, deceptive, controlling, or emotionally exploitative messages;
  • impersonate another person;
  • create false allegations;
  • invade another person’s privacy;
  • generate hateful, discriminatory, violent, sexually exploitative, or unlawful content;
  • create instructions for self-harm or harm to others;
  • evade workplace policies, legal duties, court orders, professional standards, or contractual obligations;
  • upload information you do not have the right to share;
  • upload confidential, privileged, proprietary, protected, or sensitive information without authorization;
  • reverse engineer, scrape, copy, disrupt, or exploit the App;
  • use the App to build, train, or improve a competing product or service;
  • interfere with security, authentication, infrastructure, or access controls.

12. Prohibited High-Risk Uses

You may not use the App as the sole or primary basis for decisions involving:

  • hiring, firing, promotion, compensation, discipline, or workplace investigation;
  • clinical diagnosis, treatment, medication, hospitalization, or mental health care;
  • domestic violence, safeguarding, custody, abuse, or coercive control;
  • legal claims, contracts, litigation, compliance, or regulatory obligations;
  • financial, tax, insurance, housing, credit, or investment decisions;
  • school discipline, child welfare, or care of a minor;
  • immigration, law enforcement, public benefits, or government services;
  • any decision that may significantly affect another person’s rights, safety, livelihood, dignity, access, or wellbeing.

The App may support preparation and reflection, but human professionals must remain responsible for high-risk decisions.

13. Workplace and Organizational Use

If you use the App in a workplace or organizational context, you are responsible for complying with all applicable employer policies, confidentiality duties, professional obligations, and laws.

You must not upload:

  • employee records;
  • HR investigation materials;
  • confidential employer documents;
  • client records;
  • protected health information;
  • trade secrets;
  • non-public financial data;
  • privileged communications;
  • proprietary business information;
  • information covered by a non-disclosure agreement;
  • information you are not authorized to disclose.

The App does not replace HR, legal counsel, union representation, professional supervision, mediation, compliance processes, or organizational governance.

14. Relationship, Family, and Conflict Use

The App may help users prepare for hard conversations. It must not be used to control, manipulate, surveil, shame, threaten, punish, gaslight, or emotionally pressure another person.

You agree not to use the App to draft communications intended to:

  • intimidate;
  • force emotional disclosure;
  • pressure someone into a decision;
  • retaliate;
  • shame or humiliate;
  • disguise manipulation as compassion;
  • escalate unsafe conflict.

If safety, abuse, coercive control, stalking, or violence may be involved, seek qualified local support rather than relying on the App.

15. User Content

“User Content” means any text, prompts, messages, scenarios, names, descriptions, uploads, feedback, or other information you submit to the App.

You retain ownership of your User Content.

By submitting User Content, you grant Grand Strategy Consulting LLC a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to process, transmit, display, store, secure, and use your User Content as necessary to operate, provide, maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the App, subject to our Privacy Policy.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you have the right to submit the User Content;
  • the User Content does not violate any law or third-party rights;
  • the User Content does not violate confidentiality, privacy, employment, contractual, intellectual property, or professional obligations;
  • the User Content is not unlawful, abusive, exploitative, or harmful.

16. Sensitive Information Warning

You should avoid submitting highly sensitive information unless necessary.

This includes:

  • Social Security numbers;
  • government identification numbers;
  • financial account numbers;
  • payment card information;
  • medical records;
  • therapy notes;
  • legal documents;
  • passwords;
  • biometric information;
  • precise location information;
  • workplace investigation documents;
  • protected health information;
  • confidential client information;
  • trade secrets;
  • privileged communications;
  • private information about another person.

The App is not a privileged professional service. Use discretion before entering sensitive personal or third-party information.

17. No Professional Privilege

Using the App does not create:

  • attorney-client privilege;
  • therapist-client privilege;
  • doctor-patient privilege;
  • clergy privilege;
  • mediator privilege;
  • coach-client privilege;
  • fiduciary duty;
  • HR confidentiality privilege.

Information entered into the App may be processed by technology systems and vendors as described in the Privacy Policy.

18. Account Registration and Security

You may need to create an account to use some or all features of the App.

You agree to provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure.

You are responsible for activity under your account unless the activity results from our failure to use reasonable security measures.

You must notify us promptly at hello@grandstrategy.llc if you believe your account has been compromised.

19. Technology Platforms and Vendors

The App is currently built using Lovable and may use third-party technology providers for hosting, application development, databases, authentication, AI model access, payment processing, analytics, email delivery, security, monitoring, and infrastructure.

The App may later be transferred, migrated, rebuilt, or hosted on alternative platforms or infrastructure providers.

We may change technology vendors, hosting providers, AI providers, database providers, or related infrastructure without prior notice, provided such changes remain subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We are not responsible for third-party outages, infrastructure failures, provider limitations, model behavior, data processing practices, or service changes outside our reasonable control.

20. Intellectual Property

The App, including its name, design, interface, structure, workflows, prompts, text, content, methodology, graphics, software elements, branding, and proprietary materials, is owned by or licensed to Grand Strategy Consulting LLC.

Emotional Maths® and related frameworks, language, methods, and materials are proprietary to Grand Strategy Consulting LLC or used by Grand Strategy Consulting LLC under appropriate rights.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, sell, sublicense, scrape, reverse engineer, imitate, or use the App, its methodology, or its materials to build a competing product or service without written permission from Grand Strategy Consulting LLC.

Subject to these Terms, you may use outputs generated for you for personal or internal business communication purposes, provided your use complies with these Terms, applicable law, and third-party rights.

21. Feedback

If you provide suggestions, comments, ideas, requests, or feedback about the App, you grant Grand Strategy Consulting LLC the right to use that feedback to improve, market, develop, or modify the App without compensation to you, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

22. Payment, Subscription, Renewal, and Cancellation

The App may offer free and paid plans.

If you purchase a subscription, you authorize Grand Strategy Consulting LLC or its payment processor to charge your payment method according to the plan, price, renewal period, and billing terms shown at checkout.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout:

  • paid subscriptions renew automatically;
  • you may cancel future renewal according to the cancellation process made available in the App or by the payment processor;
  • cancellation stops future billing but does not automatically refund prior charges;
  • prices may change with reasonable notice;
  • taxes may apply;
  • failed payments may result in suspension or termination of access.

Recurring subscriptions and negative option offers are subject to consumer protection rules requiring clear disclosures about material terms, total cost, billing, and cancellation. Grand Strategy Consulting LLC should maintain a simple, visible cancellation process.

23. Refunds

Refund terms will be displayed at checkout or in the App.

Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in writing, subscription fees are non-refundable once charged.

We may, at our discretion, offer refunds, credits, or account adjustments.

24. Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, interrupt, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the App at any time.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, permanent availability, or continued compatibility with any specific device, browser, operating system, third-party provider, hosting environment, AI model, or platform.

25. Safety, Monitoring, and Enforcement

We may review, restrict, suspend, or terminate access if we reasonably believe:

  • you violated these Terms;
  • your use creates safety, legal, ethical, privacy, security, or operational risk;
  • your account is being misused;
  • the App is being used to manipulate, exploit, threaten, harass, or harm another person;
  • continued access could expose users, Grand Strategy Consulting LLC, or others to harm or liability.

We may also implement safety filters, refusal behavior, crisis language, usage restrictions, content moderation, incident review, and related safeguards.

26. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it may be shared with vendors, how long we keep it, and what choices may be available to you.

27. Disclaimers
